Split Personality Background
1. Open the image you minimised earlier.
2. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling/Default.
3. Layers/New Raster Layer. Keep this as your top layer.
4. Materials Palette/Foreground Colour/Choose a colour from your image for your background. Keep white as your background colour
5. Flood Fill Tool/Flood Fill your new layer with White
6. Layers/Properties/Lower the opacity of this layer to 95.
7. Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten
8. Effects/Artistic Effects/Hot Wax Coating. Your image should now be coloured with your foreground choice.
9. Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance More
10. Effects/Texture Effects/Texture/Using the following settings.
11. Materials Palette/Pattern/Locate the background image you have just created in your patterns/Angle 136/Scale /Set your scale between 10-30 depending on whether you prefer a smaller of larger pattern.
12. Minimise your background image and re-open your main top border image.
13. Image/Canvas Size/Increase your canvas height to 800/Lock Aspect Ratio Unchecked/Placement Centre Top.
14. Layers/New Raster Layer.
15. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
16. Flood Fill Tool/Flood fill this layer with your newly created pattern.
17. Highlight Merged Layer.
18. Move tool/Click on your border image and using your down arrow move this layer down about 10 pixels
18. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following settings/Vertical 3/Horizontal 0/Opacity 45/Blur 15/Colour Black/Shadow on New Layer Unchecked.
19. Repeat with Minus Vertical Settings.
20. Layers Merge/Merge all Flatten.
Save as a J peg with the compression at 30.
Take to letter Creator. Do not tile, allow the text to scroll and place your image Centre/Top. Set the text position to Top 265. The finished product should send at less that 200k.
