Atomic Glow Completion Instructions
Main Frame Header and Side Borders
1. Image/Add Border/NON SYMMETRIC/in white/using the following settings:-
2. Image/Add Borders/Same Settings using your foreground colour.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2and then 1 again. On repeating step 1 use your background colour.
4. Selection Tool Magic Wand/Select the two light borders and the white borders down each side of your image.
5. Flood Fill Tool/Flood fill with your Foreground Gradient
6. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow/Same Settings.
7. Repeat Drop Shadow with minus settings
8. Deselect
7. Save as a Jpeg with the compression at 25 do not close the image for the moment
For the Sidebars and Background
8. With your main Frame image in your workspace Selections/Select All
9. Selections/Modify/Contract 90
10. Selections/Invert
11. Edit/Copy. Edit/Paste as New Image. You can now deselect and close your main image.
12. Image/Resize/Percent/Resize 15%/Smart Size/Resize all Layers and Lock Aspect Ratio CHECKED.
13. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen
14. Image/Canvas Size/Width 1007 (this is for a 1024 Screen resolution if yours is different adjust accordingly)/Height 166/Image Placement Centre Left Button.
15. Effects 3D Effects/Drop Shadow/using the following settings:- Vertical and Horizontal 2/Opacity 35/Blur 10/Colour Black/Shadow on New Layer NOT checked
16. Repeat Drop Shadow with Minus Settings
17. Layers/Duplicate
18. Image/Mirror
19. Layers/New Raster Layer
20. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
21. Materials Palette/Background Gradient/Change the Angle from 0 to 90. Leave all else the same.
22. Flood Fill Tool/Right click to Flood Fill your new layer with your Background gradient.
23. Effects/Distortion Effects/Displacement Maps/using the following settings:
24. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling using the following settings: Mirror/Bi-Directional.
This is a very soft and plain background. Please feel free to use your own if you prefer something different.
Save as a Jpeg with the compression at 25. See below image for Assembly in Letter Creator instructions.
Assemble in Letter Creator placing your background and sidebar image in the body section and tiling. Choose your font and text and link colour. Set your text at 90-95 left and right. Place the main frame image in the Header Section placed Centre. Complete your footer details and your done.
THE SIDE BORDER LETTER
1. Image/Add Borders/White/Symmetric NOT checked/as follows:
Top 2/Left 5/Bottom 2/Right 5
2. Selection Tool/Magic Wand/Select the white border
3. Flood Fill Tool/Right click to flood fill with your foreground gradient.
4. Selections/Invert
5. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using the same settings
6. Deselect.
7. Image/Resize/320 width/height will adjust to 316/Smart Size/Lock Aspect Ratio and Resize all Layers CHECKED./Sharpen if necessary.
8. Image/Canvas Size/Width 1024/Height 316/Placement click on the Centre Left Button.
9. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following settings:- Vertical 0/Horizontal 8/Opacity 35/Blur 20/Colour Black/Shadow on New Layer CHECKED.
10. On your shadow layer/Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tile/Corner/Vertical.
11. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
12. Layers/New Raster Layer
13. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
14. Materials Palette/Background Gradient/Change the angle from 0 to 90. Leave all else the same.
15. Flood Fill Tool/Right click to Flood Fill your new layer with your Background gradient.
16. Effects/Distortion Effects/Displacement Maps/using the following settings:
17. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling/Mirror/Bidirectional.
18. Save as a Jpeg with the compression at 25.
Assemble in Letter Creator placing the image in the body section and tiling. Set your text at about 340 - 350 Left.
THE SCROLLING TOP BORDER
1. Image/Add Borders/White/NON-Symmetric/using the following settings:
2. Selection Tool/Magic Wand/Select the borders.
3. Flood Fill Tool/Flood Fill with your Foreground Gradient.
4. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following settings:
5. Repeat with minus 1 Horizontal Setting
6. Deselect
7. Image/Resize/Resize to Width 320/Height will adjust to 316/Smart Size/Lock aspect Ratio and Resize all Layers CHECKED./Sharpen if necessary.
8. Image/Canvas Size/Width 1280/Height 316/Placement Centre Left Button
9. Layers/Duplicate
10. Move Tool/Move the duplicate image so that it is just touching the first image. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to fine tune.
11. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
12. Layers/Duplicate
13. Move Tool/Move the duplicate image so that it is just touching the first image. Use the arrow keys to fine tune. Do not mirror.
14. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
15. Image/Canvas Size/Width 1280/Height 900/Placement Centre Top Button
16. Layers/New Raster Layer
17. Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom
18. Flood Fill Tool/Flood fill this layer with your background gradient. (Angle 0/Repeats 0)
19. Effects/Distortion Effects/Displacement Map using the following settings:-
20. Highlight your top layer in your layer palette.
21. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following settings: Vertical 8/Horizontal 0/Opacity 30/Blur 25/Colour Black/Shadow on New Layer NOT checked.
22. Save as a Jpeg with the compression at 25.
