36.  Open your chosen tube in PSP. Duplicate twice and close the original.  Minimise one copy.

37.  Image/Resize.  Resize this copy of your tube so that it is no more than 325 pixels high. (This is just a guide you will need to adjust accordingly depending on the size of your original ellipse and the shape of your tube)

38.  Edit/Copy and close this copy of the tube

39.  Maximise your frame canvas.

40.  Edit/Paste as new Layer

41.  Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow at the following settings:

  

42.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

43.  Minimise your main image and maximise your remaining copy of the tube.

44.  Image/Resize. 

45.  Resize your tube so that it is 450 x 450 pixels making sure that Lock Aspect Ratio is unchecked

46.  Layer/New Raster layer.

47.  Flood fill this layer with a 'water' colour.  I have used #c0ffff.

48.  Layers/Arrange/Move to Bottom

49.  Layers/Merge/Merge all Flatten

50.  Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tile at default.

51.  Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur/Radius 35

52.  Duplicate this image twice.

53.  Minimise two copies.

54.  Effects/Distortion Effects/Displacement Map using the following settings.

55.  Minimise this image.

56.  Repeat step 41 with the other two copies of the tube and background increasing the SIZE on the displacement map by 5% with each one.

57.  Maximise your main framed image and in the layer palette duplicate it twice.

58.  Close the top two layers by clicking on the eye and highlight the bottom 'open' layer.

59.  Maximise your first copy of the water image.

60.  Edit/Copy

61.  Close the image

62.  Edit/Paste as a new layer onto your main image.

63.  Layers/Arrange/Move to bottom

64.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

65.  Close off the bottom merged layer by clicking on the eye and highlight and open the middle layer.

66.  Maximise your second copy of the water image.

67.  Edit/Copy

68.  Close this image.

69.  Edit/Paste as New Layer.

70.  Drag this layer down so it is under the middle copy of the merged layer.

71.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

72.  Close this layer by clicking on the eye and highlight and open the top layer.

73.  Maximise your final copy of the water image.

74.  Edit/Copy

75.  Close this image.

76.  Edit/Paste as New Layer

77.  Drag this layer down so that it is under the top layer.

78.  Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

79.  Open the two bottom layers.

80.  File/Save as.  Name it and Save it as an Animation Shop Image.

81.  Open Animation shop and browse to your image and open it.

82.  Sample the animation and if you are happy with it optimise and save. Mine is running at 10 frames per second and  I optimised at 127 colours to keep the size down  but that will vary according to the original tube and added extras.

 

 

In this example the original frame was 600 x 300 with the animation centred
